New Delhi, February 20, 2023: DS Group’s 1st edition of the TrenDSetter Hackathon on the Mettl skill assessment platform was a roaring success. The event was organised between 19th November 2022-16th January 2023 for selected B-schools across the country. 5,200 students registered for the event and created 1,650+ teams to compete for a prize pool of up to ₹10 lakh and exciting job opportunities.
TrenDSetter is a National Level B-School Corporate Challenge designed to offer students an engaging, interesting, and immersive experience of building a business from scratch and being responsible for its success. The hackathon challenge was divided into 3 rounds- HeaDStrong, OdDSmaker, and GranDStand to evaluate the participants on their entrepreneurial prowess.

The event page on Mettl witnessed a traffic of over 16,000 visitors who spent 3 minutes on average to learn more about TrenDSetter and DS Group. 1,200 teams participated in Round 1 of the challenge, of which 60 qualified for the next round.
DS Group’s brand team meticulously created 6 business cases for the semi-finalists, encouraging the teams to put on their thinking hats to qualify for the final round. It was a close call, but the brand team finally selected 6 teams for the final round.
The finalists were required to present their business proposals in front of an Elite Jury Panel at the DS Group Headquarters. The teams demonstrated immense dedication and innovative thinking, making it challenging for the jury to make a decision. After much deliberation, the winners were-
The winning teams also received goodies and merchandise of up to ₹4 lakhs, while all the participants were given participation certificates. More importantly, the students also got unmatched real-world business experience to fuel their growth and success.
