New Brand Strategy for Catch Salt & Spices Backed by the ad campaign “Zara Sa”

A popular brand from the DS Group stable has repositioned itself with a new slogan “Zara Sa” highlighting the quality of the products, which are ground by LTG technology and has no fillers. With Juhi Chawla endorsing the brand, the campaign gives a clear message that you need “Zara sa Catch” vis’-a –vis’ others, making Catch spices an intelligent choice for a consumer who is quality as well as price conscious.
The new positioning emphasizes on the value of buying Catch spices, which are made by Low Temperature Grinding (LTG) technology to prevent the evaporation of volatile and delicate oils. This allows the spices to retain their original aroma, giving a wholesome & authentic flavour to the food. The new brand strategy adapted by Catch aims at making the customer see value in buying Catch salt & spices and breaks the myth that premium quality means expensive product.
Catch, the Food & Beverage brand of DS Group was launched in 1987 with the Catch Salt & Pepper rotatory table top sprinkler as offering, thus shifting the usage of salt and pepper from kitchen to the dining table. Both the products started gaining a stronghold in the market and became a favourite with consumers. The sprinkler range has today grown to four premium flavours Salt, pepper, black salt and Chaat Masala.
 
Realizing the potential of the food and beverage (F&B) sector, the company decided to launch the catch range of beverages with the Catch Water - India’s first bottled spring water straight from the Source in Himalayas followed by Catch Club Soda, Catch Clear - flavoured soda in various exciting flavours - lemon ‘n’ lime, peach, black currant and   green apple, catch cola, lemon and orange. The zero calorie tonic water also took the nation by storm. All Catch beverages are made from natural spring water.


 DS Group expanded the assortment further in 2001 by introducing an extensive range of spices and today has wide offering in basic, wholes and blends for domestic and institutional customers.

Catch has further expanded its spice range with the launch of two new delicious variants, Pudina Chutney & Raita Masala. Pudina Chutney is an Instant Masala to prepare home made chutney and one can use it to sprinkle on food, for parantha stuffing, garnishing sabzis, chaat etc. Raita Masala is also an instant recipe. Just sprinkle it on beaten curd & get delicious raita in seconds. Catch is now ready to launch new product variants under Catch umbrella and has already extended the product range of whole, basic & blended spices to nearly 200 SKU’s for both household and Institutional buyers.
