DSL in partnership with Dishari is executing the Rubber Tappers’ training program that aims is to enhance the skills of the tribals in Tripura in scientific method of latex extraction, which increases the rubber yield and minimizes the damage to the rubber plant. So far around 1500 tappers have been trained in 55 trainings since the inception of the program. The project has helped double the income of the tappers as compared to what they used to earn before they attended the training program.
